Taking time to reflect on old pictures and remember all the lord has done is so important to do from time to time.
This picture is from one of the most difficult yet beautiful seasons of my life. My best friend had committed suicide, we had lost our home and ended up homeless due to a destructive life of drug use.. But God faithfully and miraculously showed up and met me at my lowest point through a woman named Crystal. After encountering His love I watched Him slowly rebuild my young life, giving me a second chance at life, an opportunity to get sober, move into a stable, loving home with my brother, and be surrounded by the body of Christ.
The beautiful woman in this photo is Jennifer LeMaster. She decided to give up a weekend of her life to volunteer at a camp that shared God's love with teenagers shifting through foster care. The love she showed me at the most difficult time in my life couldn't have been more life-giving.
I can look back at my life and my journey and see the Lord graciously and strategically placing people in my path, and I'm sure you can too. These people showed me His love and were used by Him to rebuild the ruins of my life. I stand in awe of His sovereign hand and can't help but praise and thank Him. "Lord, you are my God. I will exalt and praise your name! For in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago." Isaiah 25:1
And thank you to every foster family, mentor, teacher, pastor, friend..who has been the hands and feet of Jesus in my life. I hope and pray to pass on this hope to those hurting and in need of it.
